My first secret project....
Now that the "secret project" has been delivered and received by the recipient (with a good report)....I thought I would share what it was.
Some friends are about to celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary. Hubby decided to plan an Alaskan cruise for the event...and wanted something special to go along with it. He asked me to make a scarf with their names on it for his wife to wear! How cute!
There was no way for me to crochet or knit a scarf the right size in the amount of time I had to get it done. I can crochet pretty fast, and had a month to get completed - but I know how my life goes and knew that I would wind up having something come up. So I opted to sew this project.
1. half a yard of burgundy fleece
2. half a yard of black fleece
3. half a yard of off-white flannel
4. variegated cotton thread
The scarf is two long strips of burgundy fleece sewn together. There is black fleece fringe on each edge that you can't see in the pictures. The words are cut from flannel and stitched down with variegated thread with about 1/4" to fray at the edges. Each time this goes through the washer and dryer, the letters will get fuzzier and softer.SQLJoe really loves MadyColon! :)
Thanks for the opportunity to work on this!!! I loved doing it!
